OBJECTS OF DESIRE
January 23rd, 2011
NEF (the new economics foundation) is an organization that inspires and demonstrates real economic well-being. Two topics they focus heavily on are over-consumption and conspicuous consumption.
For my Print 2 class with Roland Young, I developed a new logo for the foundation, as well as 2 poster series campaigns promoting NEF. The aim of the first series (Objects of Desire) is to embody the ridiculous and unnecessary products people lust over and consume.
The concept behind the new NEF logo is that money should have nothing to do with happiness or sadness (the dollar sign doubling as a strike through a happy and a sad face).
